The history of Ex Libris begins when Dianne van Giersbergen and Joost van de Pas meet. Both are very intrested in combining the sounds of classical music with progressive metal. The following years Paul van de Broek, Bram van Breugel, Eva Albers and Koen Stam join the band and it is with this line-up that the band records her first demo recording, called "Drawn"
In the following years the music gets bigger and heavier. The demo doesn't longer represend the sound of the band and it is decided that the band records her first studio album "Amygdala". During these recordings Peter den Bakker joins the band as the new bassplayer of the band. |
